Christmas Is Coming!

It's still only just beginning fall, and I appreciate fall so incredibly much!! However, there is one Christmas thing I am already thinking about, planning for, and excited to be a part of!

My BIGGEST Christmas wish is for more orphans to be in families! This Friday, September 15, 2017, Reece's Rainbow will start sign ups for their Miracle of Adoption Christmas Campaign (MACC for short.) This is one of the most fun things to me about being an advocate. The goal is for 105 children on Reece's Rainbow to get an advocate who will make it their goal to raise $1,000 for the child they choose to advocate for during the months of November and December.... Seem overwhelming to you? Well think of these things:

1. ANY amount you raise for any child will be better than nothing.....enough to make me sign up....

2. Simply signing up and having the child be on the "Tree" helps to get their face out there and seen and improves the chances of a family finding them....

3. It's a step to take if you are thinking about signing up to warrior or advocate more, but have been nervous about doing it....

4. The Reece's Rainbow family is AMAZING!! We work as a team and when we see another struggling, we help push with them!

5....you can do it!!! lol.... I really doubted myself the last couple of times, and my babies I was advocating for had no problem making the $1,000 even though I felt like I was failing...again...RR people pull together!


Please consider signing up as a warrior! Go to reecesrainbow.org and look under the tab labeled "you can help" and then go down to hover on "the children" and select any of the categories to look through children to chose to advocate for...pick your top three!....then on Friday, or anytime between Sept 15 and Oct. 15, visit the Miracle Makers page to sign up!

Don't think that advocating for a child is really for you right now? That's okay...here are some ways you can help:

1. Donate to a child on the Christmas Tree between November 1st and December 31st! Any Donations $35 or higher will get you an ornament with the picture of the child you donated on one side, and this beautiful graphic on the other side:

2. Share the Campaign!

3. Share a specific child consistently during the campaign!

4. Consider sharing just 2 different children from the tree every day between November 1st and December 31st.


Thank you for any and all participation with the Christmas Campaign! It is a huge help, anything you do, and all the advocates and the children and the entire RR team appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts! Last year many children found their families during this campaign and I would LOVE to see that happen this year as well!

Don't Come to the 2018 Reece's Rainbow Reunion if....

I just came back from the Reece's Rainbow Reunion 2017 at Jellystone Park in Cave City, KY. I mean to tell you, what a week it was! A FANTASTIC week!

I mean, it was Chocolate Week for goodness sakes! I got to wrestle in chocolate pudding! ..... never mind that the 5 year old I was wrestling totally won!

People are already reserving cabins for next year...and we all look forward to it and count down to the next one starting the day we leave! This post is two-fold in that I'm totally trying to encourage you to come in 2018 to the Reunion if you're at all any part of RR....Advocates, like me, former adoptive families, current adopting families, etc. ; however, I must warn you of a few instances that will totally make it unbearable if you fall into any of these following categories:

DONT COME IF...

You Can't Stand Adorable Babies....

You Don't Want to Meet THE REECE and The founder of RR...

You Don't Want to See many Former Orphans in Loving Families...

You Don't Want to be a Blessing to Others...

You Don't Want to Receive Blessings from Others...

You Don't Want to see Beautiful Hills and Caves...

You Don't Want to Pet LIVE KANGAROOS!.... (optional of course)

You Don't Want to see an EPIC Lip Sync Battle or Karaoke....

You Don't Need a Break from Normal Day to Day Life..... (cough cough LIAR)

You Don't Like Sitting Around Campfires with Friends...

You Don't Want to Meet Yogi Bear, Cindy Bear, and Boo Boo!

Last, but not Least...You Don't Want to Make Lifelong Friends...

This is my last call pitch:

If you are part of Reece's Rainbow in any way, and you like to have a good time, and want to meet other people who's hearts are involved in Reece's Rainbow, please consider coming to the reunion this summer! It will be at Jellystone National Park in Cave City, KY the week of July 14-21. Cabins are being released as available to the general public in just 4 days, folks! That means if you've been teetering on the idea of coming, now's the time to step out and reserve that cabin! If you haven't thought about it yet, now's the time to think about it and speak up for a cabin! My experience last year was really great, and I'm sure this year will be even better! ....for one thing...it's CHOCOLATE WEEK at the campground! ....not sure what that means....but it's CHOCOLATE people!!! Plus, Yogi Bear... Plus Andrea....Plus hundreds of redeemed adorable faces and their families!!! Plus advocates like me! I met a family last year and decided to warrior for them (along with Leah, who was also there), so you never know, you could be next! haha...so in conclusion, I'll share a video and some pictures from last year, and just say....
